What up?
So, this week was full of awesome emotions and miracles!! YAY!!! So, concilio was this week and I had to get everything together again. We have had problems with Books of Mormon so we did not have even one box in the office and......I was freaking out. I was going to steal 10 boxes from the South mission and then order them some. Then, on Wed about 2 hours before we were going to take everything to the chapel, we were told that 14 more packages arrived but we had to go to the basement to pick them up. So, we went down and when they opened the door there were....14 BOXES OF BOOKS OF MORMON!!!!!! Miracle!!! It was so awesome! So, I brought all of them to concilio and every zone got at least one box. After concilio, we went to the temple with the Zone Leaders and it was amazing. I love the temple. You really can get something new out of it each time. So, that was Wed and Thursday.
Then Friday, I was in intercambios in Alhambra with Elder Colachagua. I got a call so we went to the offices because I was going to make an appointment for a missionary. In the taxi to the office, we contacted the taxi driver and gave him a pamphlet, but he didn't want to give us his number. We then got into the elevator and I realized, "I don't have my phone". NOOOOO!!! Ya, so I guess my phone dropped somewhere in the taxi and we didn't have his number to call him, so...pilas. I had Elder Colachagua send a text to my phone saying what to do if someone found my phone. And to make things worse, I called at 6:30pm and the clinic told me that everyone left in that department at 6pm and they won't be back until Tuesday. So, I lost my phone for nothing. My comp sent a text to the ZL so that everyone would call him to talk to me. Normally, I cancel the phone right away, but I decided to wait until Monday because I wouldn't be able to get a new phone until Tuesday anyway. We called it for the next day and a half and it rang, but no one answered. I prayed that somehow it would be found and returned. I did get discouraged at times but decided to keep the faith, and if I was completing my part then the Lord would complete what I asked, if it was His will. Then on Sunday at about 1:30pm, I got a call from Elder Colachauga saying that someone found my phone and will take it to the offices on Tuesday. All he wants is that I pay the taxis. YAY!!!!! It wasn't the same taxi driver and he lives in the South Mission. Miracle!!!!! So tomorrow, I will meet with him and I will ask him more details. I will also give him a Book of Mormon, some pamphlets and some gringo chocolates :).
Then on Sunday, we went to the Calle 13 with Caracas (Cra 14), which is the limit of our area and mission and dangerous because a member invited us to talk to her friends. We had 7 new investigators. Miracle!!!!! Then, we walked 6 blocks to another family. There were police on every corner (well, almost every corner) and we got to the house safe. We passed through some interesting parts and the street with the prostitutes, but absolutely nothing happened to us. I would say that that was also a.... Miracle!!!
So, as you can see it was a great week! We are finding more people to teach that live in our area and want to listen to us as well. This week was a giant confirmation on the power of prayer mixed with obedience and action. I love the gospel and the opportunity to be a missionary. I love you all and thank you so much for your support!
