HOLA!
So, this week was basically traveling! In total my comp and I spent 20 hours in a bus during the span of 3 days. I'm going to give a super quick summary because a LOT happened. We left for Bogotá at 9:30am and arrived at about 1pm. We spent some time in the offices and then left for the Doctor appointment. We had the directions but the directions in Bogotá are SUPER confusing. If you talk to any missionary that has served in Bogota, they will probably tell you that they have received addresses that don't exist. And man it is so true! Anyway, my comp was robbed as we were searching for the address and about 10 mins later after the robbing, we found the office, TodoPie. There, the Doctor cut the ingrown toenails out of my comp and then I showed her mine and she decided to cut mine as well, but only charged for one visit. We then when back to the offices at 6:30pm and found out no one was there, so we had our first meal of the day..TACO BELL! It was SO good and was the first meal that I've had that I would probably eat at home. So, we went back to the offices to find out we were going to stay in Bogota for the night...SURPRISE! We didn't bring anything with us and Wednesday at 2 pm, we had to be in Tunja leaving for Bucaramanga. So, we called the other elders in our house to bring stuff for us when we got to Tunja. So, Wednesday we left for Tunja at 11am and got to Tunja at 1:30pm. We were able to buy an empenada and then leave for Bucaramanga at 2pm. It should have taken 7ish hours, but there was an accident so we got to Bucaramanga at 11:45pm and took a taxi to an apartment of other Elders and spent the night on the ground. Thursday morning I GOT TO SHAVE, SHOWER, AND CHANGE MY CLOTHES! Yes! We left at 8am for the conference with Elder Godoy. It was AMAZING! It really helped pump me up and find out what I need to improve. Such a blessing! It was also cool people. I saw some people from my group and some who were in Suba with me. We ended up leaving Bucaramanga at 6:30pm (long story) and got to Barbosa at 11:30pm. When I woke up the next day, I felt so weird and weak. It wasn't very fun. But, we went to work again and had a productive 3 days to finish the week. Our toes are doing fine and everything is almost back to normal. 2 baptism dates fell through, but we are going to continue to do the Lords work and pray...a lot! But that is the really short version of my week. Oh yeah, 70 missionaries will be leaving during these next 2 transfers and not very many are coming. So, this will probably mean that many areas will close and its likely that one in Barbosa will be one. But, whatever happens is the Lord's will and is part of the perfect plan. Ill let you know what happens. Love you all and thank you so much for all your love and support!
