Hi,
First off, I want to fix my error that I wrote last week about my black feet haha. I said Happy Gilmore, but I meant Mr. Deeds. Well, at least I think its this movie. Well, its the movie with Adam Sandler when he has a black foot haha.
Anyway, this week. So this week was a little difficult with a new companion, appointments falling through, and best of all being sick! haha. However, even with all of these obstacles, we were still able to work hard and have some great lessons! And my comp and I are getting a long well, which is always a plus :) However, we got back from Tunja Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday morning I woke up with horrible stomach pains. However, I'm kinda used to it so I just worked through it and I felt almost completely normal Saturday night. However, I could not sleep well Saturday night and was tossing and turning all night. Then, at 3 am I started the climax of my sickness. I ended up throwing up twice that night, couldn't hold any water in my stomach, and made several visits to the bathroom. I then woke up Sunday with a fever and went to church feeling horrible and super weak. We had lunch with a member and I told her about my situation and she gave me caldito, which is a very bland soup, which stayed down for a few hours and then I threw up again. I then called the Mission Presidents wife, Sister Andelin, and she told me to rest for the rest of the day and to only drink pedialyte, which is gross haha. It 's possible that I have dengue fever again or another stomach virus..yay! haha. However, last night a thought popped into my mind which was "The Savior has felt all that you are feeling right now". It 's a thought so simple and something that I've told the people we teach many times, but I think it was the first time that this sentence had a meaning so much deeper and personal. This simple truth of the gospel gave me so much strength and so much comfort almost instantly. I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to learn this simple but valuable lesson of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The knowledge that the Savior is at my side, holding my hand during all of the pains that I've had, that I am having, and all that I will have is incredible. I love being a missionary and being able to learn simple truths like this on a deeper and more personal level everyday. I know that our Savior lives and that He is at our side at all times, all we have to do is call for Him. I 'm so excited for this week and to see how these simple truths of the gospel can help bless the lives of others. I love you all and I am so grateful for all of your love, prayers, and support!
