WHATS UP?!
So, transfers were today and my comp, Elder Aguilar left to Facatativa in Bogotá and I'm waiting for my new comp Elder Valladares (I think that's how you spell it). He should get here at about 11:30PM/12AM tonight, so that will be fun haha. Now the crazy news. He started his mission in Bucarica about a year and a half ago!!! So this should be really interesting because he already knows the members and area. Oh and he was born in Honduras but moved to the US at about 8, so he is basically Gringo. Ill let you know how accurate this info is next week but I'm excited. Oh and he was a ZL in Bogotá with Elder Wong before this transfer. But ya, that's that haha.
I met President and Sister Laney this week and they are AWESOME! I'm super stoked to have them here. This week was filled with just so many interesting experiences it amazes me. The work has been rough still and we haven't found anyone who really wants to progress. But new transfer, new results right?! It 's been hard staying positive with all of the problems in the work and problems personally, but I know that it is the only way to to this work.
We gave a blessing to an investigators little girl today in the hospital. She was in the part "Urgencias", which would be the "Urgents" but I don't know if that's what its called in English, and when we were walking to her we saw so many sick people just laying everywhere. It was a really hard thing to see tiny kids with IVs in tiny beds and as well older people sitting down in pain, just waiting for their turn to get treated. We were able to give the blessing and then 20 mins later we got a call that she has been transferred to another hospital out of our Zone. So that was a miracle that we were able to show up in time.
Right now , there are a lot of thoughts going through my mind and I have a ton of mixed emotions. However, the one thing that I am 100% sure of right now is that Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father live and love us. I know that this is the Lords work and I know it is going to be hard. I know I'm not perfect, but I can be perfected in Christ. And I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the face of the earth. Thank you all for your love and support! And CONGRATULATIONS Kiera and Kevin! FAMILIES ARE FOREVER!
