BUENAS!
Okay so this week was filled with a ton of crazy or strange experiences. So, I go day by day:
MONDAY: We found out that Barbosa 1 was closed and we would have to cover all of Barbosa (which has been awesome).
TUESDAY: First off, there was an earthquake and it was the longest I've ever been in. We were in our apartment on the 3rd floor and the earthquake had 2 waves and the second was shorter but harder. Nothing happened but we didn 't trust the construction of the building and our floor started to sway a little, so it was a little frightening. Then, we had our Branch Council Meeting and I'm not going to go into details but lets just say that someone EXPLODED and there was a heated debate for about 10 mins. And finally, we got a call that we had to leave Wednesday morning for Tunja for our district meeting.
WEDNESDAY: We were on our way to Tunja when our little bus stopped and my comp and I got out to see a GIANT tree had fallen and blocked the entire road. So we went and helped clear it. It took about 20 mins to clear it all and it is kinda a long story with what happened to clean it. But lets just say we almost died haha. And I got it on video so Ill show you guys one day haha. But we are okay :)
THURSDAY: Everything went well this day. Well, at least I think everything went normal haha.
FRIDAY: We had 6 LESSONS WITH A MEMBER!!! It was super awesome and only one of our planned appointments fell through but the other 6 went as planned :) This had been the most lessons that I've had so far in one day, and is pretty rare! There were so many blessings this day from God for this to happen.
SATURDAY: Everything went pretty normal this day as well.
SUNDAY: I had a talk during sacrament meeting which I didnt have much time to plan, but it went well. And then we finally met the boyfriend of one of our investigators, Katherine, and he is super receptive just like Katherine. It was a great lesson!
So, that is the brief version of the week. And tomorrow we have to leave for Tunja at night. Then as a District we are going to go to Duitama for our Zone Meeting and then after our Zone Meeting our entire Zone will be traveling to Bogota for a Multizone Conference on Thursday. So, we have some more traveling to do this week. However, we only have to go to Tunja for the District Meeting once a month.
Elder Wong and I have been working on our obedience more and we have seen the blessings that come from being obedient. Missionary work is so awesome and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have 2 years to only focus on the work of God. I invite all of you that are reading to get more involved in the missionary work and to those of you who aren't members of the church, I invite you to know more about the church. I love this Gospel and I know that this church is true with all of my heart. Thank you for all of your love and support! Love you all!
