Hey guys!
This week was awesome!! Last Sunday, the Stake President told my comp and I that he wanted to visit a less active family that his wife had found that week. What happened is that his wife was shopping for blouses and the helper lady told her that she could lower the sleeves a bit and saw that she was wearing garments and said, "Are those garments? You're Mormon!". So from there they talked and they made an appointment to visit them. It's the Acosta Family, and they are AWESOME! There are the grandparents, 3 sons, one wife, one girlfriend, and 2 grandchildren (10 and 2). And they all live in the same house. They moved from Huela, Neiva ( I think that is how you spell both of the places) about 5 years ago and never went to church after the move. But, they came this Sunday and are set on being active again. The 10 year old grandson, David, has always dreamed of being baptized and has asked his grandparents and parents many times about it. We are teaching him now and he has a baptismal date for Feb 6! He is so awesome as well and asks REALLY great questions! I love them all so much! I am so grateful for the opportunity to help them in the process of going back to church and renewing their covenants that they made 10 years ago. MIRACLE!!!
We are also still finding new people to teach little by little which is great! Last night, we were in the Calle 13 with Cra 14 (Caracas), the edge of our area and mission after a lesson at 7:45pm. I felt uneasy and we were going to get out of there quickly. A member was walking with us to the Transmilenio station when one guy came up to me, shook my hand and started talking, but I couldn't understand him so I kept walking. Then, 2 more guys came up to my comp and started talking to him as we were walking but my comp couldn't understand them either. Then, I heard the Sister member say "Run Elders" so we ran a little across the street into the light where there were some policemen guys. And the 3 guys left us alone. We laughed a little about the situation after and then my comp and I left for the north part of our area, haha. Well, those would be the highlights from the week, or at least of what I can remember, haha. Love you all! Talk to you later!
