Hey Guys!
To be straight up honest, I really don't remember much from this week, hahaha. Elder Lindley and Barthlome aren't living in our house now and we had a new missionary, Elder Gómez from Ecuador, stay in our house for 2 days due to traveling problems. We had to be in our houses at 7pm on New Years Eve. And on Jan 1 and 2 it literally seemed as if we were in the zombie apocalypse. The streets were COMPLETELY empty...including cars! haha. It was super weird and really difficult to find people because our area is also full of apartment buildings that you can't enter with out an invitation. I gave another baptismal interview on New Years day and she was baptized in our ward. It was awesome being able to go to another baptism. And then we had lunch yesterday with a gringo family, the Dossetts, and we had a Thanksgiving dinner! They weren't able to have one on Thanksgiving so they did it yesterday and invited some other members. It was awesome!
Lately, I have been struggling with some stuff and I have set goals to try and fix them. I have been listening to some talks this week and watching some videos on mormonchannel.org and I realized that I am not using all of my resources to help me reach my goals. One of these resources, which is SO simple and SO obvious, was prayer. DUH!! Now, it's not that I have never asked for help in my goals, but I have never used prayer efficiently in working towards my goals. I now understand just how vital the role of prayer is in our goals and really everything that we do. And more, you have to do it right. Something that I have learned recently is that in order to take advantage of this great tool of prayer, you HAVE to be sincere in your prayers. I know we have all been taught this and we all know this but I am finding out what it really means to be sincere in prayer. Well I have to go, so I hope my rambling has made sense. I guess the invitation would be: pray often and do it sincerely. Love you all and thank you for all of your support!
