Hey guys!
Today we had transfers and Elder Bonilla and I are staying in the office. All of the new missionaries come tomorrow, so I have been preparing the materials for them and then tomorrow morning we are going to talk to them about what we do, when to call us, and just tips and stuff. This group is bigger than the last with 17 missionaries. It's crazy that we are already starting ANOTHER transfer! And when this transfer ends it will be almost 2016!!!..¡QUÉ VAINA!
This last week was super frustrating. We only had one lesson. And we haven't been able to find people who are really interested in listening to us that live in our area. I got so mad last night. I started talking to this old lady in the street and she stopped to listen. When she heard we were Mormon missionaries she started to walk again. (She was pretty old and walked really slow). So I decided that I was going to walk with her and keep talking and quickly summarize the Restoration. We got to her house and I quickly finished and asked her if we could pass by one day. She said that she was very busy and never home. I then asked if we could take her cell number so we could call one day to see if she was home. She quickly told it to me and headed to the door. I took out my agenda and asked if she could repeat it. Buy this time she was inside her house and she closed the door on us without saying anything. But I was at least able to quickly squeeze in "have a great night" before she closed the door. Ouuu, I got so mad. Qué mujer tan grosera! I mean if you don't want anything just say "No", you don't have to ignore us and be so rude. So there were a lot of moments like that last night, but this one was the last one before we had our appointment. So you know, life has been fun haha. But I know that my comp and I have to talk to more people and we will eventually find someone. Like I told my comp "There may not be a quantity of people who are ready to accept the gospel, but I know that there are quality people who are ready and we need to find". I hope that makes sense haha. So that's where we are now. We are just going to keep talking to people and just not be afraid to do it. I love the gospel and I know that it's true! I know that we pass though trials in this life so that we can learn and progress. It may never be easy, but it will always be possible with the help of the Lord. This week I'm going to work on really important little things that I have gotten a bad habit of not doing, so that I can be worthy to see miracles in our area. Love you guys! Talk you ya next week!
