HI GUYS!
This week was another rough one. We haven't been able to find people who are actually interested and who live in our area. Part of the problem I think is that our area is SUPER small. I think we are going to try to redivide Bucarica 1 and 2 because it is INSANELY proportioned. But we are still trying. Hope you all had a great 4th of July! For our District meeting on Wednesday, our opening hymn was America the Beautiful and the closing hymn was The National Anthem. Perks of having a gringo District Leader haha. Then when Elder Hansen called us on the 4th for our nightly call, we sang the national anthem again ! haha. So that was fun. Today we were going to go to El Santísimo but when we got there we found out that its closed on Mondays, unless its a festivo (holiday). But in Colombia they have holidays for SO MANY THINGS so we will go next transfer haha. But at least we got to see some nice nature on the short hike to the ski lift thing.
But ya, its been pretty rough these past few days. I have so many things to work on to become a better missionary and on top of that we are finding a lot of obstacles in the work. Oh and I've gotten 2 ingrown toenails this week. Its times like these where my faith is really put to the test and as much as I want to just give up and break, I have to push on and remember why I'm here. Little by little things will get better, I know it. However, yesterday we did see a miracle! One of our investigators went to church after 2 months of not attending after her baptismal date fell through for personal reasons. We dropped her on Tuesday because she wasn't attending church, which was SUPER hard to do. And we fasted that she could receive the help she needed to go to church yesterday. And she went! We have an appointment with her tonight. It was such an awesome moment to see her walk in late. With God, anything is possible! I love this gospel and I know its true! I love you all and thank you so much for your love and support! I will let you know about transfers next week!
