BUENAS!
Okay, so this week was pretty good. We were able to find 3 new investigators and we are starting to find less actives to teach! So now we have a total of 4 new investigators, it's a small number but its growing! haha. On Halloween night, we went looking for addresses of less actives on the list of all the members in our ward. We went with a member to help us with the addresses because the directions in Bogotá are CRAZY! Plus, we found out that Bogotá changed their addresses 7 years ago so many of the addresses we were looking for didn't exist or they are about 5 streets off. And to make Halloween night even better...it rained from 7-9pm. And I mean it RAINED and POURED for about a solid hour and a half straight! The streets turned into rivers and lakes. Oh and the wind was blowing. So basically I had an umbrella but it didn't do anything haha. We ended up just walking through the "rivers" after about 40 mins. So what ended up happening was when we got back to the house I put my bag down and looked at my phone for a few seconds. When I looked at the floor I saw a blue/black puddle start to form and I thought, "Oh no. Not again!". And so I went quickly to take off my shoes and socks. And when I did I saw that my feet had turned a green/black color. But this time it was my whole foot, not just the bottom of my foot. So I took a picture of it of course haha. And I called it my "Halloween costume" for the night. And as of today, my toe nails are still a green/black color. So hopefully that will go away soon.
Other than that there have been a lot of problems with cell phones, so I've had to do a few things with that and just normal Health and Materials Secretary problems stuff haha. But this week I'm excited because we are going to be teaching more people and 2 of the investigators are a married couple (they got married 3 months ago) and they have had the lessons before but now they want to get serious about it. AWESOME! So we are just taking it day by day right now and are working our hardest so that we can find more people that the Lord is preparing. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that this is His only true church on the earth. I will leave you guys with the verses that I have been "ponderizing" this week. Its Mosiah 15:5-9. Its SO AWESOME! I love you guys and thanks for all of your prayers and support!
5 And thus the flesh becoming subject to the Spirit, or the Son to the Father, being one God, suffereth temptation, and yieldeth not to the temptation, but suffereth himself to be mocked, and scourged, and cast out, and disowned by his people.
6 And after all this, after working many mighty miracles among the children of men, he shall be led, yea, even as Isaiah said, as a sheep before the shearer is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.
7 Yea, even so he shall be led, crucified, and slain, the flesh becoming subject even unto death, the will of the Son being swallowed up in the will of the Father.
8 And thus God breaketh the bands of death, having gained the victory over death; giving the Son power to make intercession for the children of men--
9 Having ascended into heaven, having the bowels of mercy; being filled with compassion towards the children of men; standing betwixt them and justice; having broken the bands of death, taken upon himself their iniquity and their transgressions, having redeemed them, and satisfied the demands of justice.
