HOLA AMIGOS MÃOS!
Okay , BIG news this week! Well , there is actually 2 sets of big news, one is spiritual and the other is about transfers. I'll start with transfers because I think it will be better to finish with the awesome spiritual news. Wait, but before I will just give a little update on my health. I got sick again this week but it wasn't as bad and as of right now , I feel normal which is nice haha.
Okay, so transfers were today and Elder Wong and I are staying in Barbosa! However, Elder Quispe and Elder Perdomo were transferred AND....President closed Barbosa 1 . So now , Elder Wong and I have all of Barbosa! But that 's not all. Our Zone, the Tunja Zone was closed as well and we are now a district. Our new Zone is the Duitama Zone. So , this may mean that every Wednesday for District Meeting we will have to go to Tunja or we will have a skype session. But for every Zone Meeting we will have to go to Duitama which is another hour further from Tunja. So , we will see what happens this Wednesday. I think that 6 areas were closed this transfer and I hope that next transfer has a lot of people so we don't have to close even more. But ya, its kind of weird now because the closest missionaries to us are an hour and a half away by bus. But at the same time its pretty cool haha.
Okay , now it 's time for the best news! So Saturia had her baptismal date for this past Saturday and had her baptismal interview on Thursday night. Everything went well in the interview, but she still wasn 't sure if she was going to go through with it on Saturday. She said to call her at about 2pm on Friday for her decision and we had an appointment with her Saturday at 8pm as well. We ended up forge tting to call until 6pm and she said that she would give us the answer during our le sson with her. We got there and she still didn 't have an answer. So , I told her that we were going to wait for her and give her as much time as she needed. We waited for about 20 seconds and then the member that was with us started talking and saying how it 's okay that she doesn 't want to be baptized now and that when she feels ready , she can come to us and tell us what day works for her. He didn 't understand what I meant and my comp and I were like " Oh no, what is he doing?". So after he finished , I restated myself and was much more specific that we were going to wait in her house in that moment and wait in silence, it didn 't matter how long it took, and we would wait for her until she made a decision. And this time we actually waited in silence. I started praying for her to receive the strength that she needed and during the prayer Saturia broke the silence and said "Creo que sÃ", which is "I bel ieve so". My heart filled with joy for her and I opened my eyes and saw her smiling. It was such an amazing moment! We verified that yes, she will be baptized the next day and she said yes. So we then planned the program with her and talked a little more. It was a huge testimony builder on the power of silence. When we let people think for themselves in silence , we give the Spirit a chance to touch the heart of the person and give the m the confirmation and strength they need. The service was awesome and Saturia has been super happy about her decision. I have another story about filling up the font but that will be for another time haha. I love this Gospel and I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church with Priesthood power and was restored by Joseph Smith. I know that it is only through the covenants we make that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. I know these things are true and I invite everyone, everywhere, no matter you're circumstance to learn more about the church because I know that this Gospel can change the lives of every single person. I love you all and I am so grateful for all of your love and support!
